It was a full house for members and guests to shoot the first tournament of the 2025-2026 indoor season at SNAC.
Well done, everyone. Serenity Last posted another strong qualifier on a 3-spot triangular target for the 2027 Canada Winter Games team. A big shout-out to Jessica Last who used a club Kings Pawn recurve without a clicker and posted a very respectable score!

South Nation Archery wants to keep all students safe and off the roads tonight, so we are cancelling advanced classes at 6pm and 8pm. The forecasted snow rate is expected to be + 1cm / hour every hour until 10pm, with winds +/- 20kph.
SNAS’ Class Cancellation Policy is in effect.
Advanced Thursday Classes will run as usual tomorrow.
Stay off the roads, please and let the snow ploughs do their jobs as quickly as possible.
Note that both the 10am and 2pm lines for the WA18M tournament on Sunday, December 14. 2025 are full.
Currently, we are not offering a 6pm line. If you are interested in shooting this tournament, but have not registered yet, you can contact us to go on the stand-by list.
SNAC’s outdoor lanes are CLOSED for 2025. We will post a re-opening date notice at the end of April 2026.
In order to use our outdoor facilities, participants must have either taken lessons at South Nation Archery, or can demonstrate knowledge and application of all safety rules prior to accessing the facility.
Provisions:
1. Permission is needed before you are allowed to start shooting.
2. Lanes are available only during business hours.
3. All participants must prove in-force personal liability coverage before shooting.
4. NO ONE is to venture off the outdoor target range into the woods or off the SNAC property. Anyone doing so will be asked to leave the facility immediately.
5. Normal archery-specific safety rules are in effect; anyone violating these standard safety rules (personal/group/equipment) will be asked to leave the facility.
User fee: $10/person
The indoor tournament season starts in December 2025 and runs through to March 31, 2026.

SNAS President / Head Coach, Kathleen Millar has been named to the support staff to the Para Archery World Ranking Event in Chicago, Ill from June 25 – September 01.
There will be a team of 5 male archers: 4 compound and 1 recurve. Kathleen looks forward to working with Head Para Coach Linda Price again in support of the athletes’ efforts.
Kathleen will not be available to coach/instruct during this time. She will have limited time to respond to e-mails.
SNAS wishes the team good weather and good shooting at this important event.
SNAC Member, Serenity Last will be representing Canada for the first time at the World Archery Youth Target Championship in Winnipeg, MB from August 15-25, 2025. The tournament is being held at the Grant Park Soccer Fields, 478-492 Nathaniel Street. She will be competing in the Women’s U18 Recurve category.
