2026 Ontario 10-ring Championship Week is in the books

Thank you to all the archers who competed at SNAC for the regional provincial 10-ring championship, which we hosted from February 16-22, 2026.

We have not calculated all the possible record-breaking performances, but certainly Travis Tyo broke his own record – congratulations.  Serenity Last came very close to breaking SNAC archer Molly Solc’s U21 recurve women’s record – well done, Serenity.

This was an internationally-sanctioned tournament at our site, so you can find results through Archery Canada’s website link:

As well, congratulations to Jessica Last who is the official poster child for how to excel in the 21+ Recurve division shooting a King’s Pawn recurve – simple straight-stock pin sight, no cushion plunger, no clicker, no stabilisers.  Way to go, Jessica!

Congratulations to all archers who shot our annual tournament for 2026.  There were some really good scores.  Shane Bryson shot well despite being unwell for so long, and once again Jessica Last proved that good form is essential regardless of the bow, even an instructional King’s Pawn!

Since this tournament now runs throughout the entire calendar year, final results will not be published for quite some time, so you will need to be patient.

SNAC will finish indoor competitive programming on Monday, March 31 to end the national and provincial mailmatch and house league season.

Trump Tariff War and South Nation Archery

Effective immediately, the reciprocal tariffs the Canadian government is imposing in response to the Trump tariff war, sporting goods coming into Canada from the United States will be taxed an additional 25%.

At South Nation Archery, we will continue to sell goods at prices as listed in the shop and on this website until present stock has been sold.  Then, unfortunately, all products originating from the USA will see a price increase when you visit our shop.

Though we are making every effort to encourage more east-west trade, in the archery industry some items are available only from American manufacturers and suppliers, for example PSE compound bows which we order directly from the factory in Tuscon, AZ, and 99% of all commercially available arrows.

We regret this price increase and that we need to pass it along to our customers.  In order to off-set this burden, all of our services and class/coaching fees will remain the same until/if the tariff war ends.  We look forward to your continued support and patronage.

Kathy and Larry
