2020-2021 COVID-19 INFORMATION SHEET

FOR SOUTH NATION ARCHERY GROUP LESSONS 2020-2021

READ CAREFULLY

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, South Nation Archery will be regulating student traffic flow strictly.

See below for details.

All students will be expected to wear a mask at all times except when shooting or performing warm-up exercises.  If you do not have a mask, we will give you a disposable mask upon entering.

You must use the hand sanitizer products upon entering.  You will be asked if you washed your hands or not after using the toilette facilities.  Toilettes will be cleaned after each use.

NEW Rules to Regulate Student Traffic Flow:

  1. There will be NO visitors / spectators, including parents, during classes. All chairs and benches have been removed during classes.
  2. Wait in your car for your family member(s) to exit the building when classes are done.
  3. For students attending classes at 7pm, 8pm or 9pm, wait either in the indoor designated waiting area, the outdoor designated waiting area (see diagram by using the link below), or in your vehicle until the previous class members have exited. You will be given a signal to enter.
  4. You or your family i.e. “germ pool” have been assigned a specific spot for you and your gear during class. All outdoor clothing, personal articles and personal archery gear must be stored in this area upon arrival and during class.  NO personal articles will be allowed in the showroom.  All students will enter the shooting lanes at the 18m doorway and exit after class through the 10m doorway and directly out of the building.
  5. See individual class listing to determine your area: A, B, C or D.
  6. Payment: For those who have not pre-paid their group lesson fee, Larry will have you come into the showroom, one at a time, once class has started, in order for you to pay.

Session 4 classes will run in September – all are booked completely

The good news is:  we have been able to re-schedule 2020 Session #4 group lessons for advanced and beginner archers.  They will run starting the 3rd week in September.  Kathleen Millar will be sending out reminder e-mails after the Labour Day long weekend to all registered students/parents.

The bad news is:  Due to the COVID reduced number of students allowed in the indoor lanes, all classes have been filled.

We hope that the situation will settle down as we head into January 2021 and that we will be able to host beginner lessons again.

2020 Session #1 Advanced group lessons will be held November-December as usual.

Please note that no spectators will be allowed in the lanes, including parents, when we run group lessons.  Students will be asked to remain in their vehicles until the signal to enter has been given by a staff member.  Thank you for your patience as we sort out the “new normal”.

Serving Our Customers during COVID News Update

We continue to offer a safe environment for our retail customers and continue normal business hours.

Private lessons continue throughout the COVID-19 lockdown and recovery.  Please book a time with us during normal business hours.

Retail customers are advised to call for an appointment also.  In this way, we can control the number of people in the showroom at any given time.  If there are too many customers in the shop, then we ask you to wait in your vehicle and we will wave to you for your turn to enter.

The indoor lanes are closed for general target practice.  They are for use by our beginner students and retail customer bow set-up appointments only.  Outdoor lanes are available by appointment only.

USA-based archery manufacturers have closed down operations including PSE.  Asian manufactured products are subject to quarantine and are being delayed at the border.  Please be patient if you have special orders on-hold.  We will get the product to you as soon as we have it.

Group Session #4:  Kathy Millar has been in touch with pre-paid students who pre-registered.  Group class sizes have been reduced now to 4 persons, or 5 if there are families in the group.  If there is room in Session 4 classes for those who pre-registered but who did NOT pre-pay, then Kathy will be in touch with you directly to see if you are still interested in group lessons in September.

IMPORTANT:  Please use the hand-wipes and/or hand sanitizer spray bottle at the front door when you enter.  Continue to practice physical distancing.  Thank you and stay safe.

MAKE UP CLASSES FOR SESSION 3

MAKE UP CLASSES FOR SESSION 3 Weeks #5 and #6    Advanced and Beginner

As you may know already, South Nation Archery has been able to keep the retail shop open for business under the “new normal” because we sell hunting supplies, and this falls under the Agricultural exemptions issued at the start of the province-wide COVID-19 response.

The Ontario Government is re-opening the provincial economy as of May 16th, and we are planning to finish our Session #3 classes, while maintaining social distancing.

Below you will find a timetable for the 8 group sessions that were postponed due to the provincial lockdown.

READ CAREFULLY:

  1. Both week 5 and week 6 class material will be covered in ONE 2-hour session from 6pm-8pm. You are invited to shoot on the date designated for your original group.  This completes the session that you paid for.
  2. All classes will be held OUTSIDE ONLY, rain or sun. Come prepared!
  3. All instructional equipment that you borrowed during your normal classes will be cleaned and available outside only. Everything will be cleaned again afterwards.
  4. Washroom facilities will be provided, one person at a time in the building.
  5. Physical distancing will be adhered to both on the shooting line, and at the target butts.
  6. Kathy will be wearing a mask and gloves during classes in case she needs to be less than 2m away from students, i.e. in an emergency.
  7. All students will use handwipes provided before starting class.

2019 Parking Reminder

IMPORTANT message to class participants and league/tournament archers!

Please remember to park in our parking lot whenever possible.

DO NOT PARK on the south side of County Road 38.

If the parking lot is full, please park on the north side of the road only, and east of our lane way.

This notice is very important during the snow removal season; the OPP will have your car towed away if you are in the way of the snow-plough drivers.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Beginner Classes Registration Policy

Beginner Classes Registration:

Part 1:

Effective 2019-01-13, all registrants will be required to pre-pay session fees when they pre-register for beginner youth and/or adult classes.

IMPORTANT information to participants:

STUDENTS / PARENTS must supply us with an active credit card number, expiry date and security code when registering for Friday night classes.

There will be no reminder telephone call. Please record the dates of your session and come to lesson #1 10-15 minutes early.

REFUND POLICY: There is no refund for classes. We endeavour to keep our class fees as low as possible so that families can afford to participate in the sport. Therefore, SOUTH NATION ARCHERY SUPPLY will not provide refunds for missed sessions and/or classes.

Part 2:

If you have signed up for multiple sessions, you are not required to pre-pay all sessions. SOUTH NATION ARCHERY SUPPLY realises that life changes and that pressing matters may arise which preclude your participation in the sessions you signed up for.

However, we must be advised in advance of your changed circumstances.

IMPORTANT information to participants:

In order to avoid credit card charges, returning STUDENTS / PARENTS must tell us they are cancelling all other pre-registrations NO LATER THAN the 6th week of Friday night classes in which they are currently registered.

There will be no reminder telephone call. Please record the dates of your session.

We regret to have to institute this policy. However, SOUTH NATION ARCHERY SUPPLY is dealing with more no-shows while turning away other interested students.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
