2019 Candle-Masters Congratulations

There was no dominant archer this year in the advanced classes.  And though we had a lot of arrows pass through the flame, only the following archers put it out without touching the candle itself.  One candle each for:

Compound archers

Emma McMillan, Hannah Rousseau, Bill Mackey and Hester Grodde.

Recurve archers

Pam Leclair, Bob Kerr and Luke Seldenthuis

Congratulations to all students!

2019 National Indoors big success at SNAC

Congratulations, everyone!

We had some terrific shooting this year and some PBs along the way.  Special note for Sandra Rampton-Siedule and Durvishan Thananchayan – well done!

Normally, Alexandra Paquette shoots the nationals with us, but this is a Canada Winter Games year, so her first round score of 583 (!) at the Games will be used.  Alexandra is a double-gold medallist for compound, individual female as well as team!

2019 OAA IFAA Championships affected by winter storm

SNAC thanks all the archers who braved the terrible driving conditions today in order to shoot the OAA IFAA championship at our club today!!!!

Blizzard and white-out conditions plus huge winds not only made driving a challenge, but took out hydro for some of our club members.  So, we had quite a few last-minute cancellations.

But, there were some fabulous scores though from the people who did manage to make it, including personal bests for Durvishan Thananchayan and Sandra Rampton-Siedule.  Congratulations to both of you.  We also had strong shooting on the compound side:  congratulations to Hester Grodde, who shot a new unofficial provincial record in Women’s Senior Compound Fixed Pins.

Please see our club results with this link:  2019_OAA_IFAA_Results_for_SNAC_ON012

Province-wide results should be available on the OAA website before noon tomorrow, Monday, January 28.

Our next tournament is a regular, World Archery-certified 18m round on February 10th.  There is limited space available on the 2pm line.  Contact Larry or Kathy to hold your spot.

January 2019 WA18M tournament a success

This was the first tournament Durvishan Thananchayan shot as a cadet and as a junior for Alexandra Paquette. Well done also to Jacky Liang who competed in his first tournament. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from her wrist injury to Connie Siedule.
You can see the results here, too. 🙂
